Caribbean BES!
Bonaire has a total land area of just 111sq miles with a population of only 20,000 approximately many of whom are Dutch nationals.
The National Dish is called "Stoba Kabritu" which is Papiamento for stewed goat meat. Goat meat is the national dish of Bonaire simply because of how many goats populated the island.
One of the unique attractions on the island although not open to visitors is a Flamingo wildlife sanctuary... Which can be viewed and photographed from the complementary coloured, pink sand beach nearby.
and also the similarly Pink coloured Salt Flats. Where Bonaire produces some of the finest, purest Salt in the world!
Nature conservation is high on the agenda in Bonaire. The Marine life is a very popular tourist attraction and effort is made to maintain the environment which is evident.
