Most "Wanderful' National Parks
Researching this blog post is very interesting as I started to realise really how many places there are here on earth to be explored. Now the concept of travelling to the wilderness to explore wild life, nature reserves and natural wonders has become a luxury travel product that seems only readily accessible to the privaledged class of traveller who can afford this type of holiday. The cost of staying on popular nature reserves is prohibitive to the more economical traveller.
However I'm certain if I spend more time researching I will find that there really are other options available to the more adventurous, budget conscious explorer. Every National Park has their own rules, some allow for camping, some only for groups accompanied by a Park Tour Guide. For these types of holidays, research is really necessary before embarking on these journeys.
Some of the best National Parks in the world are found in the US where there are several famed national parks that have been made famous in the movie industry. Still when researching there really are so many national parks in the world, Africa boasts some of the best, still Europe also has a great deal of amazing National Parks to explore, and South America has some of the most beautiful landscapes, featuring some of the world's best cascades in one of their most famous National Parks.
Then there is New Zealand and Australia where the whole country is almost enirely made up of national Parks and landscapes that favour protected territories. As I searched I realised it would take more than one Blog Post or a series of posts or subsections to really cover this topic and produce a comprehensive list.
Still what I will do is begin by listing some of the top attractions, the most Popular, most listed and most alluring to me personally; in each continent starting in the centre with Mother Africa's best..
1) The Serengeti National Park in Northern Tanzania spans over 5,000 square miles.
Features include the largest annual migration of wildebeast
A large population of Lions..
And also features some of the most sought after "The big five" of the Safari game which of course includes not only lions but
3) Kruger National Park in North Eastern South Africa
This park has some of the best Game reserve in the whole continent of Africa with it's high density of wild animals that includes the Big 5: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos.
4) Table Mountain National Park in South Africa north of Cape Town
This National park is quite unique as it's landscape in the South where it borders the ocean is home to Penguins and is completely different to the North. Where some of the typical game reserve animals that are expected of Africa can be found in their natural habitat.
